A mini miniature collection!

Hi, and welcome back.
Today I thought I'd show you my collection of teeny tinies.
First off, miniature superheroes! I have a Batman, a Superman, and a Superman in black that looks like Clark Kent gone wrong.

Next, here's a leetle farm called Teeny-Tiny Mini-Farm. It's so cute, and has so much stuff in it.
It all fits in this tiny barn! Wow!
Next! I have an orca and eagle that I found at a lighthouse museum.

And finally,  my collection of MiniWhinnies!! I absolutely love them, especially how they fit with Breyer people.

I got these 2 in Season 2 blind bags. The one on the left is called Hannah, the one on the right is called Daisy.
I also have a MiniWhinnies set that has 6 stallions in it.

That's my collection, for now!

Quick craft from a Breyer box! DIY mini straws!

Hi guys, welcome back!
Today I unboxed Starry Night, and was playing with the wire used to keep the horse in place. Then I got an idea!
1. Unfold and flatten out a wire piece from a Breyer box as much as you can. Its okay if it's not perfect.

2. Cut off the bent ends.

3. Using a pair of scissors, score just the coating at about an inch away from the end.

4. Bend the wire around where the coating is scored and tug on the coating in order to pull the coating off the wire. Once it's off, you have a tiny straw!

You can use paperclips of any color in order to alternate colors. Have fun, and try it out!
If you want, you can even make a little box for them.
That's It! Thanks for stopping by!

Last minute doll shades, plus viewing the eclipse!

Hi guys, and welcome back!
Did you see the eclipse? Hopefully you got at least a partial view? Where I live we got a short partial eclipse, but all the same it was very cool! Comment if you saw it!
As you hopefully know, you should never look straight at the sun. You can burn your retinas and do some serious permanent damage! Even dolls should be careful... but they really wanted to see the eclipse and so did I. Unfortunately, we hadn't picked up any of the special solar eclipse glasses, so we made a box projector thingy. It's the kind where there's a piece of foil with a small hole in it covering a rectangular hole, and on the other side of the box is another rectangular hole that you look through. You aim the foil at the sun, and you can see the eclipse happening in the box!
Fortunately for the dolls, I was able to make some for them so they didn't have to look through a box. I simply drew out a template for the glasses, then traced it and added on the part that sits on your ears. I can't think of what those are called right now...😊 then I just traced those a few more time so each of the dolls would have a pair.
Here is the process of making the glasses, the dolls with their glasses, and my box projector thingy.
A view from the viewing hole of my projector box.
Above is our eclipse-viewing device.πŸ˜‚
Above the girls are seeing what was the darkest part of eclipse for us.
Above, I place a dolls head on a piece of printer paper.
I drew a line at the outside of her head and then made an estimate of how far the line needed to come in to cover only her eyes.

I made the length shorter and sketched the top of the glasses.

I finished the sketch by drawing a middle, and then connecting a rounded line to each of the four lines. (At the bottom of the previous sketch there are only 2 lines, when you draw an upside down u, there are 4 lines.) I then cut it out.

It fits!

It fits her, too! It fits all, just like the real ones.

Unboxing a cosmic horse!

Hi again! I'm so glad you've discovered my blog, please be sure to subscribe or comment.
I recently was vacationing in the Bavarian village of Leavenworth! I have a friend who lives over there, and let me just tell you that is you're looking for somewhere that reminds you of The Sound of Music, this is your place. If you love German history or want to find a hotspot of Breyers.... get on the road to the outskirts of Wenatchee.
Let's just say that 2 of the toy shops I found had HUGE walls of just about everything Breyer ever created! I was in looooove, and I just HAD to pick one! But there were so many choices! If I had a bigger car and more money, I proably would've bought out the whole wall! πŸ˜‚πŸ€—
I finally made up my mind on one horse, the fourth horse in the Classics Decorator series. Drumroll please!
Starry Night!
And just look at that beautiful holographic sparkly mane and tail!! πŸ˜πŸ’ΏπŸ’ΏπŸ’Ώ
I'm so excited to unbox this horse, so here goes!!!
All unboxed! (Yes that is my cat 😊)
This is such a beautiful model, I am definitely in horse heaven!! I have plans to display it with my Breyer antique unicorn and pegasus once I have a place to do that πŸ˜‚
Don't you just love him? His sleek features and perfect galaxy- he has white stars with a white splatter in the background for a pretty dusting of far-off stars are just to die for.

Hope you enjoyed, be sure to subscribe, comment and share.
That's all for now, see you next time!!

Lots of stuff!

8-18-17

If you check my blog, you'll notice some changes in.... I want to say, like, maybe the last 3 posts? Even this one! Some have the date in the post- that's because the posts didn't get published when they were written... Oops! 😝
First important thing: we are out of our house! It closed a couple days ago. It's bittersweet.....
Second: I may or may not have traveled to Poulsbo, WA (one of my favorite places) and gone on a shopping spree! I found this antique co-op type store called Red Plantation. I found 2 vintage Breyer horses (yeah that's right!) for less than 10 dollars a piece! This wasn't a sale or anything, we're talking two beautiful antiques in good shape for cheap! I was so excited I bought both....πŸ˜€πŸ˜
After extensive research, I found that they are called: Morgan/ Stretch Morgan/ Show Stance Morgan, Best Tango/ Adios
Unfortunately, at the moment I don't have any pictures of them, so here are some pictures I found online:

Above is Best Tango.

Above is the best picture I could find πŸ˜’ of the Strech Morgan.

Well, thank you so much for stopping by, and I hope to see you back here again soon!

Unpacking the Breyers- plus a look at my collection!

8/4/17

Hi! Welcome back!
As you likely already know if you've read my previous posts, I am moving. Yep. We are almost done packing and our house will soon close, we'll be living in a trailer for quite a while on our lot while our house gets built. Luckily for me, I found a place to keep my Breyers and other things out while we're in the trailer.
Here's some of my collection, I'm unpacking it. Yayyyyyy!
Here are a bunch of the classic Breyers, there are so many more that I can't find the boxes for.
Above is the almost empty barn, with a couple horses next to it waiting to be told where to go. 😊
Above is a family that did not come as a family, but they're a really unique scale, and my mom played with them as a family when she was a kid.
Above is a bunch if tissue paper- wrapped bundles in which I had packed my Stablemates, and two paint-your-own horses. (Basically smaller scales of Breyers. I also have Mini Whinnies, but those come in a travel bag so they don't need to get packed with the big horses.)
Above, the girls are patiently waiting for their horses.
Just the boxes from a different angle.
Above is two angles of my Classic scale collection. I have all of the horses of the years starting from the first year to 2016. 😊

That's all, thanks for stopping by!
